AnimePedia Terms of Service
These terms cover your use of the AnimePedia Android app. By installing or using the app, you agree to them. If you don't agree, please don't use the app.
The app
AnimePedia is a fan-made app for browsing anime quotes and character sounds. We grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own non-commercial enjoyment.
Anime content — fan use, no affiliation
Quotes, character names, and anime titles shown in AnimePedia are the property of their respective copyright holders (the original anime studios, publishers, and creators). AnimePedia is an independent, unofficial fan project — it is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any of the anime studios, publishers, or rights holders whose work is referenced. Content is included for commentary, fandom, and appreciation. If you are a rights holder and have a concern about specific content, contact us (below) and we'll address it.
Accounts
Signing in with Google is optional and only used to back up your bookmarks (see the Privacy Policy for details). You're responsible for keeping your Google account secure — we don't manage a separate password for AnimePedia.
Your submissions (Request / Report)
The Request/Report form lets you suggest an anime or report an issue. By submitting, you agree not to include anything illegal, abusive, spam, or infringing on someone else's rights, and you give us permission to read and act on what you send (e.g. adding a requested anime to the catalog). We may ignore, moderate, or discard submissions at our discretion.
Purchases — AnimePedia Pro
AnimePedia Pro is a one-time, non-subscription purchase processed through Google Play Billing. Refunds are handled by Google Play under its own refund policies, not directly by us. Your Pro entitlement is tied to your Google Play account/device and can be restored via "Restore Purchases" (powered by RevenueCat) on any device signed into that account.
Advertising
The free version of AnimePedia shows ads served through the AppLovin MAX ad mediation platform. Ad content comes from third-party advertisers; we don't control or endorse the specific ads shown. AnimePedia Pro removes ads entirely.
Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- Reverse-engineer, decompile, or tamper with the app beyond what's permitted by law.
- Scrape, bulk-extract, or redistribute the app's quote/sound catalog.
- Use the Request/Report form to spam, harass, or submit unlawful content.
- Attempt to circumvent the Pro purchase or ad system.
Termination
We may suspend or restrict your access to specific features (e.g. the Request/Report form) if you misuse them. You can stop using the app at any time by uninstalling it; if you're signed in, Profile → Delete Account removes your account and backed-up data.
No warranty
AnimePedia is provided "as is." We don't guarantee the app will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that every quote/sound will remain available forever (the catalog changes over time). Use it at your own discretion.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we aren't liable for indirect or incidental damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing here limits any liability that can't legally be limited.
Changes to these terms
If these terms change, we'll update this page and the "Last updated" date above. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the update.
